Sit down, relax and watch the latest, just released yesterday trailer of the movie “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, starring numerous important names, including Ralph Fiennes.

The Storyline

The movie, written and directed by Wes Anderson, is a comedy-drama in 1920s Europe, among the two wars. The story tells us about the adventures of Gustave H – in fact Ralph Fiennes – the legendary concierge of the European hotel, and Zero Moustafa – Tony Revolori – the lobby boy hotel employee who embarks in a weird friendship with Gustave H. The story revolves around the theft and recovery of a Renaissance painting, as well the battle of a vast family fortune.

The main photography for “The Grand Budapest Hotel” began in Berlin, as well as surrounding areas, in January 2013.

Release Date

The movie, distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures, is set to be released in March 2014. This is quite peculiar, for the 86th Academy Awards (Oscar) will be held on March 2, 2014. This seems to be a clever move indeed, as Anderson’s movies usually get a lot of Oscar buzz.


This seemingly cool movie, as mentioned, is starring some big names: Ralph Fiennes – as the concierge Gustave H – Tony Revolori – as the young lobby boy Zero Moustafa – as well as Saoirse Ronan, Jason Schwartzman, Edward Norton, Owen Wilson, Willem Defoe, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Léa Seydoux, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Murray, F. Murray Abraham, Tom Wilkinson, plus more.
